Remaining timeline for 2016-2017 students (please note, dates are different from the 2017-2018 student timeline):

  • FINAL EXAMINATION:
    • The final examination will be offered in October 2017
    • There will be a 2-week window of online availability for students to take the examination
    • The examination must be completed during a single session, and students will be allotted a 3-hour time frame to complete their examination

 

Timeline for 2017-2018 students:

Please note: there are no extensions or exceptions to the program timeline.

  • MODULE 1: Introductory Module
    • Registration opens June 15, 2017
    • Registration closes August 15, 2017
    • Must be completed by October 1, 2017 (prior to Conference attendance)
  • MODULE 2: Conference and Communication Module
    • Registration will open when general Conference Registration opens (additional information will be provided to students)
    • Registration closes August 15, 2017; you must be registered for conference by this day
    • Conference attendance, including the completion of the 2 required labs (Communication Workshop/Lab and Euthanasia Techniques Lab), will fulfill the requirements for the Conference and Communication Module (Module 2) 
    • The 8-hour Communication Workshop/Lab is mandatory for the Certification Program
    • The 3-hour Euthanasia Techniques Lab is mandatory for the Certification Program (even if you have previously taken this lab)
    • Students must complete Module 2 in the fall of their sign up year (e.g., if you sign up for Module 1 in 2017, you must attend conference in 2017)
  • MODULE 3: Advanced Hospice Module
    • Registration opens November 15, 2018
    • Registration closes January 15, 2018
    • Must be completed by March 15, 2018
  • MODULE 4: Pain Management Module
    • May be completed at any time during the 1-year certification period (which is June 15, 2017 to June 30, 2018) 
    • Must be completed by August 15, 2018
  • CASE STUDIES:
    • Two case studies must be submitted by May 15, 2018
