Title: In-Home Nursing Quality of Life Assessment
Date: Sunday, May 21, 2017
Time: 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm ET
Presenter: Barb St. Amant, RVT, Bridge Veterinary Services
The focus is on assessing a pet's current quality of life, in addition to working through all the parameters that make for a good quality of life for both client and pet. It can be very helpful working through all of these concerns in a home environment, where there is no stress of being in a hospital setting, where the pet can be observed in his or her environment, and in which there is no hurried time frame in which to think about and discuss all questions and concerns.
Nursing strategies, an environmental assessment, potential and current veterinary services, preparation for death and education about euthanasia are all addressed.
